Visitors to the Wittgenstein House in Skjolden are increasing steadily every year. By 2025, the number is expected to exceed 3,500. This is a very pleasing, positive growth.

Bob, together with his partner Kaaren (1/4 Norwegian), asked at the end of October last year to visit the W-house. This is out of season, but our board chairman Eli kindly offered to be our guide. Bob taught philosophy at Yale in the 70s, and had had a long-standing dream of Skjolden.

A highlight every year for SWiS is receiving a visit from the Wittgenstein Seminar, arranged as a collaboration between Knut Olav Åmås and Walaker Hotell.

We want to prevent another old house, each with its own unique cultural background, from collapsing.

In the fall of 2023, we received a request from De Bedachtzamen in the Netherlands if a picture from the Wittgenstein House could be included in an exclusive showing of selected, quiet workplaces.
